Who is responsible
Amin Ben Said is the publisher and data controller for talktunisian.com, acting as an individual in France. Postal address: 1 rue des Celtes, 77700 Serris, France. Email: contact@talktunisian.com.
This policy covers the website, book samples, chapter audio and support correspondence. The native app is coming soon; its release-specific privacy information will be provided before it becomes available.
Opening a page or playing audio
Your browser sends technical information needed to deliver a page or recording: an IP address, the requested address, date and time, browser information and, where supplied, the referring page. Our hosting provider, IONOS, handles these requests and server logs.
We use this information to operate the website and investigate faults or abuse, on the basis of our legitimate interest in a reliable, secure service. IONOS documents a maximum retention of eight weeks for its web-hosting access logs. A specific record may need to be preserved separately to investigate a security incident or meet a legal obligation.
We do not add advertising pixels, session replay or visitor-profiling scripts. You do not need to provide a name or email address to read the site or listen to chapter audio. There is no automated decision-making about you.
Your browser preferences
Choosing day or night mode stores the value light or dark in your browser under talk-tunisian-appearance. This local setting remembers the appearance you requested; it is not a tracking identifier and is not sent to a marketing service.
The setting remains until you change it or clear this website’s browser data. If no choice is stored, the website starts in light mode, regardless of your device’s appearance setting. Blocking storage does not prevent you from reading the site.
The interactive sample and pronunciation tools run in your browser. The website does not ask to use your microphone or collect a learning profile.
Cookie-free visitor statistics
We use Ahrefs Web Analytics on the main website pages to understand visits, popular pages and traffic sources, and improve the website. It runs without advertising cookies, session recordings or persistent visitor identifiers. The chapter-audio pages do not contain this tracker.
Ahrefs receives the page address, referring address, browser and device information, and language. It derives country and city from the IP address. Ahrefs states that it discards raw IP addresses and uses a daily-changing identifier to count visitors, without linking visits across different days, devices or websites.
Ahrefs Pte. Ltd., based in Singapore, provides this service. Ahrefs also uses anonymised, aggregated statistics for studies and improvements to its services, including traffic estimates. We do not send it support messages, learning notes or payment details. See its documentation and privacy information below for its processing practices.
For a question or objection about audience measurement, contact contact@talktunisian.com. Blocking the analytics script does not prevent you from reading the website or playing its audio.
Writing to us
When you email contact@talktunisian.com, we receive your email address, message and any attachments you choose to include. Providing them is voluntary, but we need a reply address and enough detail to answer your question.
Amin Ben Said handles these messages using IONOS email. We use them to answer and follow up on your request, based on our legitimate interest in providing support, or to take steps you request before a purchase where applicable. We do not add you to a marketing list.
Correspondence is kept for the time needed to resolve the request and its relevant follow-up. Material required for a legal obligation or an actual dispute is kept separately for that purpose and the applicable period. Unneeded attachments should not be sent; please exclude passwords, full payment details and unrelated personal information.
Providers and outside links
IONOS provides website and audio hosting and our email service. Technical access by the provider is limited to delivering and supporting those services. We do not sell personal data. We may disclose information where the law requires it.
The public site serves its own fonts and media; it does not load the design-preview service or a third-party video player. Hosting and email processing are subject to IONOS’s service arrangements and data-protection safeguards, including those applicable to any international processing.
If you follow an Amazon, app-store or other external link, that service receives the visit and applies its own privacy terms. No payment is collected on this website.
Your rights and how to contact us
Under the GDPR and French data-protection law, you may request access, correction, deletion or restriction of personal data, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Portability applies where its legal conditions are met. These rights have legal limits, including information that must be retained.
Write to contact@talktunisian.com or to Amin Ben Said, 1 rue des Celtes, 77700 Serris, France. We normally respond within one month. If a lawful extension is needed because of complexity or the number of requests, we will explain it within that month. We may ask only for proportionate information needed to verify your identity.
You can also complain to the CNIL, the French data-protection authority. You do not have to contact us first to exercise that right.
